You didn't build the business to
become the most trapped employee.
If you're doing real volume but the whole thing still depends on
you, the problem isn't effort. It's the system underneath it.
Does this sound like you?
- Every decision still routes through you and the team can't move without your sign-off.
- Pricing and marketing are guesswork, borrowed from industries that aren't yours.
- Growing feels like adding more locations, more chaos, and thinner margins.
- You hired managers, but every problem still lands back on your plate.
- You're putting in 50+ hour weeks and can't remember your last real vacation.
More volume on a broken system doesn't get you free.
It just raises the stakes of every day you can't step away.
The first maverick rule
The number one goal of your business is to generate profit for you.
Profit is to your business like oxygen is to your body.
Without profit, you can't serve your clients, your team, or your community.

Who it's for
Owners who feel the squeeze every month and need stability before they can think about growth.
What changes
You stop feeling the squeeze every month. Cash-flow steadies, the quiet margin leaks close, and you build a profit foundation solid enough to grow on.
For those who want out of daily operations. You master marketing and business development; your team runs it.

Up to 2 seats (owner + key person)
Who it's for
The growth-ready owner doing roughly $1M–$2.5M across 2–5 units, ready to stop being the hub of the wheel.
What changes
You stop being the bottleneck. Marketing and business development become your job; the daily operations run on your team and your systems.
For those done running the business. It self-operates and self-grows while your role shifts from operator to architect in your business.
12 Months
Up to 5 seats (owner + leadership team)
Who it's for
Visionaries doing roughly $2.5M–$5M across 4–10 units whose shop already runs without them and who want it to grow without them, too.
What changes
The business stops depending on you at all. Your team runs the business better than you did, and what used to be your job becomes an asset that holds its value without you.
For those building a portfolio, not just a shop. You own capital and think like an investor, not an operator.

Who it's for
Owners doing $5M+ across 5+ units, ready to acquire, exit, or hold their dry cleaning business as part of a portfolio.
What changes
The business starts paying you. You move from running one great business to leveraging assets that build wealth while the operations run themselves.
Four levels. One climb.
Every program builds toward the next.
As the business changes, so does the owner. Maverick maps each stage to the program that gets you there —
from running the shop to owning an asset that runs itself.

Maverick Drycleaners isn’t for everyone.
On purpose.
Mavericks is for you if...
- You own a drycleaning business doing real volume and you're ready to stop being the bottleneck.
- You want to work on the business, not just in it and you'll do the work when no one's watching.
- You're coachable, you take ownership of results, and you respect the room enough to show up.
- You believe in community over competition; owners helping owners, never a room that pits you against each other.
Mavericks is not for you if...
- You own a drycleaning business doing real volume and you're ready to stop being the bottleneck.
- You're not yet at the revenue floor, or you're not ready to invest in the business right now.
- You want someone to do it for you. We hand you the blueprint and you still have to build.
- Are happy exactly where you are.
Dave’s story
From Eviction Notice to a
$200 Million Business
How I Got My Life (and Business) Back
At 24, I was a single father working 70 hours a week in a dry cleaning shop, making $16,000 a year. I wanted more. More freedom, control, time with the people I loved. So when I got the chance to buy my own dry cleaning business, I jumped. I thought it was my ticket to freedom. I was wrong. To buy that first store, I maxed out credit cards and drained my savings. For four months, an eviction notice hung on my door.
That business, In The Bag Cleaners, has now provided over $200 million in services to our community, with 35,000+ regular clients, 11 retail stores, and roughly 75% market share in Wichita, KS.
I’ve reverse-engineered what actually drives profit in a dry cleaning business down to the detail, and I now mentor operators across the country who want to reach the top of the industry.
