You Are What You Think About
Earl Nightingale in his famous recording “The Strangest Secret” summarizes this powerful concept. You become what you think about. Think about your rotten customers and you will have rotten customers. Think about not having money and you’ll never attract it.
Think about the bad nightly news stories (war, inflation, impending doom) and you will see pain, suffering, and bad guys around every corner.
But if every day you specifically focus only on the positive, you will reap positive things. Nightingale gives his listeners a 30-day challenge. For 30 days focus only on good thoughts. If a negative thought comes into your mind, stop it immediately.
- Quit associating with the whiners and complainers
- Only spend time with upbeat and positive people
- Be part of a mastermind of happy business owners who get things done
- Set specific goals and focus on their attainment
You will be pleasantly surprised at how much good will start flowing in your direction.
Each day, we are all faced with messaging (mostly marketing) that can flood us with information. Some help us get where we want to go, while some keep us from getting there.
Protect what you think about. Know the person you are. Be positive. Think the best of situations, even when it’s hard. Your thoughts become actions and you are known for your actions.
When you create marketing for your clients and prospects, make sure it is full of positivity, optimism, and is solutions focused.
Have a great week!
