
Comforters: 25k Tactic vs 250k System
Aug 04, 2025If someone came along and offered to buy my company In The Bag Cleaners, but told me I could keep just one service.... I know without question what service it would be.
I would want to keep cleaning comforters for our clients.
Comforters are the most scalable high profit item (only more profitable is a wedding dress), and I started cleaning them and then sharing it as a tactic you could use to get tons of additional profit.
You see, most clients neglect cleaning their comforters and your competitors don’t really want to clean them.
So when I started promoting comforter cleaning, I would do a 3-day flash sale by sending out a batch text. When I wanted a burst of comforters, I would send out the text and the comforters would roll in.
It became my favorite new marketing tactic.
I thought it could also be systemized and bolted into different parts of our Client Journey.
I started presenting an irresistible comforter cleaning to our prospects – people who we wanted to be our clients, but had not used us yet.
It quickly became our No. 1 lead magnet for new clients.
Then we started reminding clients to clean their comforters at least once every three months.
We even used it to re-engage out of pattern or lost clients.
Guess what? We switched it from a $25k tactic to a $250k system.
Last year, comforters made us over $400,000 in PROFIT.
That’s not a typo.
When you get traction with a service that your clients love, your competitors hate, and you decide to scale...... hit the accelerator and knock it out of the park.
Don’t forget to systemize it. Find each point in the Client Journey where you can promote it.
