This powerful marketing tool is a form of targeted advertising that you send to clients who haven’t purchased from your business in a set amount of time.

The reason behind starting with this is simple: It’s about 8 times easier and cheaper to get an existing client to come back than it is to get a new client.

After all, would you be more likely to go back to a business you already know or trust someone new with your hard-earned money?

To execute this campaign, you need to answer 2 questions.

One, who should you send this to?

At In The Bag Cleaners, we initiate a retention strategy when a client has not used our services in the past 3 months, but they had used our services the 90 days before that.

Two, what should you send?

You can use postcards, letters, emails, phone calls, texts, and even emails with videos embedded in them (we use bombbomb.com for this).

If you have the bandwidth, you can also use a combination of these things.

Typically, the better client they are, the more personal the way we communicate with them.
